We mean "Floating Closets", as in minimal latching, in the sense of using nothing that makes a real connection, no noise, no visually disturbing strike lips.
We spend a lot of time fixing specs around full-sized closet doors. We're still seeing Rockwood roller latches on some schedules. They're noisy and ugly.
Here are a couple of simple alternatives.
SITUATION 1 :
Let's assume you want to have a pull of some sort, whether Offset Flush Pulls(like the HB675s above) or other mounted pulls.
SOLUTION : Consider using Precision Magnetic Catches.
(they also have a smaller version for your lighter, thinner doors)
- They're Silent (no late night cringes)
- They're Adjustable (unlike other magnetic catches)
- They come in two different strengths for big doors and bigger doors.
- Nice clean look. You can use them up top or on the side jamb.
- They Work. Forever.
